As part of its educational and research missions, postdoctoral training at the UF College of Medicine is designed to prepare the trainee for a career in research or academia.

At the conclusion of their training, our associates will better understand human health and disease through groundbreaking research, translating discoveries into new solutions that promote health, and improve health outcomes and quality of care.

Mentors and trainees will collaborate to determine the course of training, which generally includes continued development of laboratory skills, presentation of research findings via publication and/or presentation at seminars and training in grant-writing.
