Program Overview:
30-Minute Mentoring is a flexible, virtual program that connects UF College of Medicine students with alumni for short, meaningful career conversations. This low-barrier format makes it easy for alumni to give back—no long-term commitment or travel required—while providing students with valuable insights and guidance.
How It Works:
- Each student–alumni meeting is 30 minutes.
- All sessions are held virtually via Zoom and will follow Eastern Standard Time (EST).
- Select the day(s) and 30-minute time slot(s) that fit your schedule between the time.
- No long-term commitment — even one time slot makes a meaningful impact.
This is the inaugural launch of our 30-Minute Mentoring Program — and you are part of something brand new. We intentionally began with a small, focused cohort of medical students so we could pilot the model, learn what works best, and build a strong foundation for growth. Based on the overwhelming interest from alumni and the enthusiastic response from students, we plan to expand the program in future rounds and are already exploring opportunities to include PhD students as the next phase of this initiative.
