Isabela da Silva Andrade will present an informative session on the Community Scientist Program. This presentation will provide an overview of the Community Scientist Program and how community members including patients, survivors and caregivers partner with researchers throughout the research process. The session will highlight the valuable role Community Scientists play by sharing their lived experiences and perspectives to help make cancer research more relevant, accessible and responsive to the needs of the communities it serves.

About Cancer Connections

Cancer Connections brings together cancer patients, survivors, caregivers and cancer health care professionals who treat or provide a service to those affected by cancer. Attendees gain a deeper awareness of current research, treatment options and health care services available for cancer care.
